Crystal Grandeurs 100th post.Garden tour---Part 1

This is my 100th post at Crystal Grandeur with fifty thousand page views and indeed a special one, as I present here, our home garden and the cause for it. Plants have always been a part of our lives and our home. Every plant lover knows the joy of gardening and the great return it heaps.

The person who puts in the hard work for the the garden to look green & fresh is my husband Mr. Pratap. His passion, love and hobby is gardening always. He has a green thumb, this passion runs in his blood as I have heard his father too had  love for gardening and had a huge fabulous garden with varieties of flowering plants and fruit bearing trees in their huge compound .

Having been a Senior Executive in the Airline Industry (Air-India), my husband, yet, found the time for gardening. His first love is Bonsai and in the last 27 years, created more than 400 Bonsai trees  to his credit and has several masterpieces to his collection. Beside other reasons for his love for gardening, he feels that working with plants is some kind of a meditation which gives one immense pleasure and satisfaction and that plants respond to human sentiments.

As a plant lover, he had the keen eye for the lonely plant growing by the road side or the plant growing beside a rock in the wild, and he had the art of transforming it to a beautiful Bonsai tree. He has the patience needed, to spend  long hours that gardening requires.

Growing flowering plants and making a kitchen garden has also been part of his love for gardening. It is wonderful to see veggies(organic) Cherry Tomatoes, Tomatoes, Cauliflower's, Carrot's, Beetroot's, Radishes, Spinach and all sorts of greens grow in your garden and it is such a pleasure to add them to your daily cooking.

One may ask what role I play in his gardening? I water the plants in his absence and play around with the Bonsai trees, using them as part of the decor of our home.I simply love placing them in different places  and corners at home..... it looks beautiful.

I dedicate my 100th post to him as he is celebrating his birth day on 27th August as well. So let me take you on a tour through his garden. I share here with you, photos of our vegetable garden through the seasons. Thank you for your visit to our garden.

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. A Wedding to Remember.:)))

When two souls, which have sought each other for however long in the throng, have finally found each other, when they have seen that they are matched, in a word they are alike, compatible and established a union for ever between them. A union illuminated & pure for ever and ever.. This union is love, true love filled with full of sweetest delights & compassion. Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
