Happy New Year!!!

Hi and Hello there.....
Now that the year end comes near and time has come to bid a peaceful good-bye to 2013, Let's welcome a healthier, happier and more prosperous 2014.

There is so much to look forward to, so many things to do and many memories waiting to be made in 2014. Year 2013 has been a happy blogging year for me and lots of lessons were learnt.

I am happy to share here, my New years Tablescape including an angel made with fresh flowers & a recipe for egg-nog.

The table is a mix palette of gold, silver and lilac. It is fun to place a small  alarm clock inside a transparent coffee kettle that would go off at 12 o'clock..

And your holliday setting and mine - and we're so far from eachother - have several coincidences like the silver poinsettias. And I'm borroing the masks details for future settings - add a fun touch. Italian like. Definetky going for it.

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. A Wedding to Remember.:)))

When two souls, which have sought each other for however long in the throng, have finally found each other, when they have seen that they are matched, in a word they are alike, compatible and established a union for ever between them. A union illuminated & pure for ever and ever.. This union is love, true love filled with full of sweetest delights & compassion. My second son Capt Siddharth and sweet Saumya tied the knot on 16th Feb. The wedding was a grand event with both the families coming together to bless the wonderful couple. Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
