A Snowy table....:):)

This is the beautiful time of the year as the season starts off  with wonderful Christmas decors at homes, shops and malls etc.Everyone welcomes and enjoy the season for many aspects and i enjoy the same for the weather being chilly and for the Chrismassy feel around you.

It is wonderful to see impressive decors and table tops in everyone's post and i was inspired to do a table scape. It was fun creating a white table with a winter wonderland theme for the center piece display.Setting a right table for the the occasion with right kind of elements is like a moment before stepping on to the stage. The table is a mix of white and silver. The snow effect is nothing but the rock salt which resemble of snow and easy to set.Wishing everyone a joyful season....Thank you for your visit...:):):)

  4. This is so pretty, Sujatha! I love the way many of the buildings and the Christmas tree light up! And that's a really fun special effect with the snow falling!!!

I don't know why, but I no longer get email alerts when you (and several other bloggers) do a post. I guess I'll have to start checking that Bloglovin thing every day so that I don't miss out on any of your posts. I wish the Internet people would stop messing around with things that work out well for us!

Have a wonderful, peaceful, joyous weekend! Your home looks beautiful!

Diwali With Lights

The word Deepavali stems from the Sanskrit words, Deepa meaning ‘Light’ and Avali meaning ‘Row’. It means a row of lights and illumination is undoubtedly its main attraction. Deepavali, the festival of lights, even to this day, projects the rich and glorious past of our country and teaches us to uphold the true values of life.    THE FLICKERING LIGHT OF A FLAME IS TRULY MAGICAL. SCENTED POTPOURRI AND NATURALLY DRIED LEAVES ADD TO THE OCCASION.    GO AHEAD AND CREATE AN INVITING DECOR FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO ADD TO THE FESTIVE SPIRIT   A WINDOW LEDGE TRANSFORMED WITH THE ONSET OF THE FESTIVE FERVOUR.THIS IS A WINDOW DRESSING FOR DIWALI   CREATE AND TRANSFORM THE SPACE AND LEAVE AN EPHEMERAL IMPRINT THE RUSTIC AND ETHNIC LOOK OF THE LAMPS. LOTUS BUDS ADD TO THE BEAUTY.

A Wedding to Remember.:)))

When two souls, which have sought each other for however long in the throng, have finally found each other, when they have seen that they are matched, in a word they are alike, compatible and established a union for ever between them. A union illuminated & pure for ever and ever.. This union is love, true love filled with full of sweetest delights & compassion. My second son Capt Siddharth and sweet Saumya tied the knot on 16th Feb. The wedding was a grand event with both the families coming together to bless the wonderful couple. Sharing few photos of the wedding in the blog- post today with rest of you all.:)))   Please visit Nap on the porch

Shades of Green

This is September, and the month offers its own fresh start to many things. Here in India, it is the beginning of festivities and celebrations for the next few coming weeks. These are the days of showers too, and it is truly refreshing & soothing to see the plants and trees after every brief shower. The moist leaves give us an impression that they are happy and smiling and breathing a 'Thank You' for the fresh green look. I love the colour green and as we all know it is one of Mother Natures primary colours. The green stem is honoured and credited to hold every flower of different colours. That's awesome. Inspiration comes from every where and the colour green inspired me to do a scape, with the green touch. I collected the green ware from the racks and putting it together as a teascape was pleasing to the eyes like the happy greenery around us. Sometimes it is wonderful to have tea and treat ourselves amongst a small collection of green plants. M
